UK construction growth slows in December
Business activity in the UK construction sector expanded at the weakest pace for three months, according to the latest survey by IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) monitored by Kallanish. The sector saw the softest rise in steel-intensive commercial work since May 2018, although there was a rebound in business optimism amid hopes of infrastructure boost in 2019.
