UK construction activity improves in November
In a period of very average news for both the UK and its steel sector, the domestic construction sector appears to be bucking the trend. The latest survey by IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing (CIPS) showed an uptick in both activity and sentiment in the sector in November. There was a solid expansion in overall construction output and job creation accelerated to its fastest since December 2015, Kallanish notes.
