UAW ratifies contracts at all Big Three companies
The United Auto Workers (UAW) union has ratified labour contracts with Ford and Stellantis, confirming that the new agreements have now been accepted at all of the Big Three automakers, Kallanish reports.
According to UAW real-time vote tally trackers, 70% of union members ratified the Stellantis contract and 69.3% voted in favour. Votes were cast by 102,679 UAW members, out of the 146,000 members employed by the three automakers.
Last week, union workers ratified the contract with General Motors (GM) with a 54.7% majority (see Kallanish 17 November).
The current contract is effective for four and a half years, expiring 30 April 2028.
