UAW ratifies deal with US Mitsubishi plant
United Autoworkers (UAW) Local 2488 has ratified its tentative labour agreement with car maker Mitsubishi for the company’s soon-to-close Normal, Illinois, plant, Kallanish understands.
The tentative deal, which the parties hammered out 7 October, was ratified by a vote of 697 affirmative, 103 negative. The UAW’s previous contract expired 1 October.
