UAW and Mitsubishi reach tentative agreement
United Autoworkers Local 2488 has made a tentative deal with car maker Mitsubishi, Kallanish understands from a union update.
The UAW members at Mitsubishi’s Normal, Illinois, plant have been working under the terms of their previous contract, which expired 1 October.
Mitsubishi is seeking a buyer for the plant, which is slated to close 30 November.
