UAW membership to vote on new Fiat deal
Local United Autoworkers (UAW) labour union chapters have begun voting on the tentative deal inked on 9 October with Big Three lead negotiator Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
UAW’s members rejected the first tentative deal struck with FCA in September due to perceived inequalities in pay structure, as Kallanish has previously reported. UAW members have been working at FCA facilities under the terms of an expired 2011 contract since 14 September.
