UAW, John Deere strike tentative deal
Heavy equipment manufacturer Deere & Company has inked a tentative new labour agreement with the United Autoworkers (UAW), Kallanish understands.
The previous deal expired September 30. The details of the new tentative six-year agreement covering 10,000 UAW members in 12 Midwest factories have not been made public.
The UAW recently rejected a tentative deal with Fiat-Chrysler, lead negotiator for the Big Three automakers (see related article).
