UAW and Fiat make tentative agreement
The United Auto Workers (UAW) labour union has forged a tentative agreement with Fiat Chrysler, the lead negotiator for the “Big Three” US automakers.
The deal was reached late Tuesday, a day after the UAW’s 2011 labour agreement expired, Kallanish notes. UAW workers had been working under the terms of the previous contract, renewed on an hourly basis.
