UAE's ESI maintains effective rebar price, 8mm increases
United Arab Emirates' largest producer, integrated mill Emirates Steel Arkan (ESI), has reduced its domestic BS 4449:2005 Grade B500B 10-32mm rebar quotes by AED 129/tonne ($36) to AED 2,222/t ($605) ex-mill theoretical weight. It is charging AED 92/t ($25) extra for 8mm diameter rebar. Payments are against letter of credit for 90 days, Kallanish learns.
