UAE's Conares commences trial wire rod production
United Arab Emirates re-roller Conares has started trial production of wire rod and offered trial lots to the country's cut-and-bend facilities. Kallanish learns that the company produced 1008-grade wire rod with diameters between 5.5mm and 7mm for the trial lots.
In addition to existing local wire rod suppliers Qatar Steel FZE and Emirates Steel, Sohar Steel in Oman has been offering wire rod in the UAE since April.
