UAE rebar retail prices slide, demand supporting sales
United Arab Emirates rebar retail prices have slid this week.
The bulk of benchmark mill rebar sales are occurring at AED 2,360-2,380/tonne ($643-648) and around 20% at AED 2,400/t, while for secondary mills' material, the bulk is at AED 2,250-2,280/t and some at AED 2,300/t, all delivered and on 90 days credit against LC. Between traders, against cash payment, benchmark mill rebar is offered at and below AED 2,350/t ex-warehouse, notes Kallanish.
