Middle East crude steel output falls in August
Crude steel production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by the World Steel Association’s monthly report decreased -3.9% on-year in August to 2.16 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from worldsteel.
The negative figure is only the second monthly decline in the region’s crude production registered this year after a dip in April. January-August output in the Middle East however grew 1.8% to 18.7mt.
