UAE books first Turkish rebar in 2 months
United Arab Emirates has booked its first rebar cargo from Turkey in over two months, market participants tell Kallanish.
The deal was concluded in the middle of last week but has only now come to light. The 30,000-tonne cargo was split between two buyers at $435-440/tonne cfr Dubai theoretical weight for early January shipment.
The two buyers are said to be not regularly active in the import market, and not on Emirates Steel (ESI)’s distribution list. …
