Turkish US-origin scrap sourcing plummets in July

Turkish scrap imports declined -6% on-year in July to 1.91 million tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $352.4/tonne versus $276.7/t a year earlier. Almost 98%, or 1.87mt, of the July imports were obsolete scrap.
