Turkish steelmakers consider graphite electrode production
Turkish steelmakers are searching for partners to cooperate in production of graphite electrodes in Turkey, says Fuat Tosyali, chairman of the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
The sharp rise in the prices of electrodes, which are an important consumable for scrap-based steelmakers, is a serious problem for the industry. Turkey is in intense talks to secure its electrodes requirement, Tosyali told local news agency Anadolu Ajansi.
