Turkish steel imports drop 17% on-year in July
Turkish steel imports declined again year-on-year in July following a rise in June, the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) says.
The decrease in July's imports volume was -17.4% y-o-y to 1.4 million tonnes, while their total value dropped -19.2% to $872 million. Imports of semi-finished products went down -28.8% to 511,000t, and flats intake was down -12.1% to 663,000t, the association states in a notice seen by Kallanish.
