Turkish steel exports rise 5% on-year in January
Turkey’s steel exports increased 5.1% year-on-year to 1.3 million tonnes in January, supported by recovery in North African and European markets, according to the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB).
The total value of these exports, however, dropped -26.3% y-o-y to $628 million due to the decline in commodity prices, CIB says in a statement provided to Kallanish.
