Turkish scrap market questions uptick on EU deal
Turkish mills have kept their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged since last week, Kallanish notes.
Imported scrap prices, meanwhile, are seen following diverging trends depending on the origin.
Two fresh deals were heard after business hours on Tuesday. A southern mill bought a cargo from the US comprising bonus mix and HMS 1 at $392/tonne and shredded at $400/t cfr Turkey. This indicates US-origin scrap prices remain at last week’s levels.
