Turkish scrap import growth accelerates in October
The growth rate of Turkish scrap imports went up to 20.7% in January-October from 15.6% in January-September and 12% in January-August, Kallanish understands from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
Scrap imports totalled 17 million tonnes for the ten months through October. The total value of these imports surged 54.7% to $4.86 billion, the association says in a statement.
