Turkish production slumps in December, 2018 nevertheless strong
Turkish crude steel production declined -11.7% on-year in December 2018 to 2.9 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD). This was led by a -16.9% slump in electric arc furnace-based output, while oxygen converter-based production rose 0.2%.
