Turkish mills raise domestic scrap prices
Turkish mills have mostly continued to raise their domestic scrap purchasing prices in the past week as the lira continues losing value against the US dollar, Kallanish notes.
The auto-bundle (DKP) buying price range, however, has narrowed in its higher end. Integrated flat steelmaker Erdemir reduced its DKP purchasing price on 23 May to TRY 1,565/tonne ($332/t) from TRY 1,600/t asked since 17 May.
