Some Turkish mills increase domestic scrap prices
Turkish steelmakers continue their hiatus from the deep-sea scrap market, instead turning to domestic suppliers, with some mills further increasing domestic scrap buying prices this week.
Turkish mills needing to buy from the domestic market because they are unable to find desired price levels from imported scrap suppliers have hiked domestic buying prices. Others have kept their domestic scrap prices stable, Kallanish notes.
