Turkish mills' domestic scrap prices fall further
Most Turkish steelmakers have further decreased their domestic scrap buying since last week, Kallanish notes.
Although imported scrap prices have started to increase, they are yet to be reflected in local buying prices. Turkish mills' demand for domestic scrap is seen to be strong as they prefer to buy it, as well as short-sea scrap, rather than deep-sea material. However, domestic scrap quantities are not enough to meet their requirements.
