Turkish mills continue to lower domestic scrap prices
All Turkish steelmakers have further reduced their domestic scrap buying prices this week, Kallanish notes.
Turkish mills’ interest in deep-sea scrap purchases remains weak, although some producers are still inquiring for short-sea scrap. Almost all mills have continued purchasing domestic scrap. Its availability, however, has reduced from high levels at the beginning of the month due to mills’ preference for it over deep-sea material in recent weeks. …
