Turkish mills accelerate July-shipment scrap purchases
Turkish producers accelerated scrap purchases towards the end of last week, notes Kallanish.
Multiple scrap deals were heard in the market. Four European deals were reported at $372-374/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20. A US supplier sold the same grade at $380/t cfr.
Although another producer was heard to have bought US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $379/t cfr on Friday, it was confirmed that this deal was made earlier in the week.
