Turkish longs sales grind to halt amid holidays
Activity remained quite limited in Turkish long steel sales amid the Feast of Sacrifice holiday.
Mills’ official rebar quotes on Friday were mostly at $580-590/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, and at $590-600/t fob for mesh-quality wire rod, unchanged from a week earlier.
No significant sales were heard throughout as all mills were on holiday until 20 June while many have extended the holiday for the entire week and conducted maintenance works.
