Turkish investment freeze to continue, finance access concerns
Turkey’s central bank is belatedly adjusting interest rates to deal with rising inflation, but this must be accompanied by fiscal policy, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Turkey chief economist Basar Yildirim. The country’s economic growth will see a further slowdown in the fourth quarter.
Government incentives were the main driver behind Turkey’s rapid private consumption growth in 2017 and the first half of 2018.
