Turkish HRC imports fall despite Ukraine, Brazil growth
Turkish hot rolled flat product imports under HS code heading 7208 fell -14% on-year in June to 344,748 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
The most-imported product by far was HR unpickled wide strip under 3mm thick whose intake dropped -16% to 189,198t. This was driven by imports from Russia plunging -38% to 99,854t. It was partially offset by Ukraine and Brazil supplying 122% and 110% more respectiv…
