Turkish finished steel consumption, production rise in January
Turkey's finished steel consumption and production rose on-year in January, both supported by higher growth rate in the flat steel segment, Kallanish notes from a Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) statement.
Finished steel production increased 12.7% y-o-y to 3.24 million tonnes in January. Flat steel production registered a notable growth of 22.9% to 1.2mt and longs output rose 7.4% to 2.04mt, says the association.
