Turkish domestic scrap prices remain mostly unchanged
Turkish mills have not updated their domestic scrap buying prices so far this week, although imported scrap prices are on a downward trend.
Turkish mills are confidently halting their imported scrap purchases as there is a sufficient number of offers in the market. While their silence is increasing pressure on scrap suppliers, some suppliers have already given signals for lower prices, below $490/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20.
