Turkish domestic scrap prices record another sharp decline
Turkish steelmakers have further decreased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week, despite their demand for domestic scrap being strong, Kallanish observes. This is mostly the result of the downward trend in imported scrap prices and weak rebar demand.
Following a few imported scrap bookings concluded last week, no fresh deals have been heard this week. Turkish mills are seen concentrating on domestic scrap purchases.
