Turkish domestic scrap prices edge up
Most Turkish steelmakers have increased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week, following the recovery seen in imported scrap prices, Kallanish observes. Only a few mills kept their prices unchanged on Wednesday.
Following numerous imported scrap bookings last week at $410/tonne cfr Turkey for US-origin HMS 1&2 80:20, Turkish mills are seen being cautious about their imported purchases this week.
