Turkish domestic scrap prices slide despite strong trade
Almost all Turkish steelmakers have decreased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week, Kallanish notes.
Turkish steel producers' deep-sea scrap demand continues to be weak. Mills have focused on the short-sea and domestic markets for scrap purchases. They are observed to be delaying their deep-sea scrap bookings on account of the lack of clarity in the domestic and export markets for rebar.
