Turkish scrap continues meteoric rise

All Turkish mills have sharply increased domestic scrap buying prices this week, Kallanish notes, mainly because of the further lira weakening and continuing increase in imported scrap prices. Following numerous bookings last week, most mills are taking a break from scrap import purchases this week.
