Turkish domestic rebar prices fall despite scrap uptick
Turkish mills reduced their domestic rebar prices in the past week, although scrap import prices rose slightly and the lira depreciated, Kallanish notes.
Integrated long steelmaker Kardemir cut its 12-32mm and 12-18mm rebar prices to TRY 2,170/tonne ($578.7/t) and TRY 2,187/t on 11 January from TRY 2,228/t and TRY 2,245/t, rspectively, set on 22 December.
