Turkish crude steel production rises 3.2% in H1
Turkey's crude steel production rose 3.2% year-on-year to 16.49 million tonnes in the first half as integrated steel output had a stronger growth than scrap-based output, according to the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
First-half electric arc furnace-based crude production climbed up 1.9% on-year to 10.79mt, while integrated mills' total production was up 5.9% to 5.7mt, the association says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
