Turkish crude steel production increases in October
Turkish crude steel production increased further in October, thanks to the continued growth in scrap-based output, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
October's crude steel output stood at 3.3 million tonnes, up 11.1% on-year and 10.2% over September. EAF-based production increased 16.8% y-o-y, while iron ore-based production inched down -0.3% in the reviewed month, the association says in a statement.
