Turkish carmakers expect record output, exports in 2015
The Turkish Automotive Producers’ Association (OSD) expects the domestic automotive industry to post record-high production and export volumes in the current year, it tells Kallanish.
Production is seen topping 1.35 million vehicles in parallel with the rise in exports, which are expected to reach 970,000 units in 2015, OSD chairman Kudret Onen says. Turkish automotive production previously peaked in 2011 at 1.19m vehicles.
