Turkey's steel output, consumption rise in 2017
Turkey's finished steel production and consumption have increased in 2017, both supported by higher growth rate in flat steel, Kallanish understands from the Turkish Steel Producer's Association (TCUD).
Turkish steel production rose 6.2% on-year to 39.2 million tonnes last year. Long steel output inched up 0.7% to 26.2mt and flats production grew 19.2% to 12.9mt, TCUD says in a statement.
