Turkey's steel imports slip on-year in January
Turkey's steel imports fell -3% on-year to 1.39 million tonnes in January, while their total value increased 28.5% to $1.15 billion, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
Semi product imports decreased 11.3% y-o-y to 490,500t, flat steel imports rose 7% to 719,300t and long steel imports declined -18.4% to 107,000t in the reviewed month, the association says in a statement.
