Turkey’s steel exports decline over January-April
Turkish steel exports fell -3.1% year-on-year to 5.5 million tonnes in January-April, while their total value decreased -25% to $2.8 billion, according to the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB).
The industry will be able overcome this decline with structural transformation and resolving of the problems arising from the domestic and foreign markets, CIB’s chairman Namik Ekinci says in a statement sent to Kallanish.
