Turkey's scrap imports rise further in January-September
Turkish scrap imports volume increased 15.6% on-year in the nine months through September, after rising by 12% in January-August, again supported by intake from Europe, Kallanish learns from a local steel industry association.
In January-September, Turkey's scrap imports volume came in at 14.9 million tonnes. The total value of these imports surged 45.2% to $4.2 billion, the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) says in a statement.
