Turkey's January steel imports fall despite semis growth
Turkish steel product imports slipped -3.6% year-on-year in January to 1.44 million tonnes, despite the 20.6% increase in semi product imports, Kallanish notes from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
The total value of January's total steel imports declined -6% to $893 million, the association says in a statement.
