Turkey's Chinese seamless pipe imports grow in January
Turkey's seamless pipe imports increased on-year in January, driven by a growth in procurement from China, while intake from the CIS declined, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish statistical data.
January's imports stood at 20,007 tonnes, up 20.6% y-o-y. The total overall value/tonne of these imports increased to $1,136/t from $923/t a year earlier, according to calculations made using Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
