Turkey's January finished steel output rises, consumption slips
Turkey's finished steel production rose on-year in January, while consumption edged down. While long steel output and consumption rose, flats output and use declined, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
January's finished steel production rose 4.4% to 3.4 million tonnes. Longs output increased 13.9% to 2.4mt and flats production decreased -11.5% to 1.02mt, the association says in a statement.
