Turkey's billet imports from Russia soar in January
Turkish billet imports increased in January thanks to the continued growth in supplies from Russia, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
January's total billet imports went up 19% year-on-year and 49.4% on-month to 381,124 tonnes. Their overall average value/tonne rose to $519/t from $394/t a year ago.
