Turkey's January-August flats production rises, longs output falls
Turkish flat steel production grew on-year in January-August, driving up the country's total finished steel output, while longs production declined, Kallanish notes from a Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) statement.
Turkey's finished steel production rose 3.1% y-o-y to 25.6 million tonnes in the eight months through August as flats production increased 19.9% to 8.4mt and longs production fell -3.5% to 17.2mt.
