Turkey's iron ore imports fall in January
Turkish iron ore imports declined on-year in January, driven by a plunge in intake from Ukraine and Brazil, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
January's iron ore imports were down -10.8% y-o-y to 924,549 tonnes and down from the 1.18 million tonnes imported in December. The overall average value/tonne of these imports rose to $89/t from $83/t a year ago.
