Turkey's March pig iron imports, production surge again
Turkey imported 161,429 tonnes of pig iron in March – at an average price of $435/tonne – up 16% on the year-ago tonnage, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
However, this was 5% down compared to February volume at 169,379t.
For the first quarter, imports totalled 445,951t, marking a 33% increase from the same period in the previous year.
