Turkey's first-half steel production growth decelerates
The growth in Turkish finished steel output slowed down to 0.2% on-year in the first half of 2017 from 1.4% in January-May, says the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
Turkey produced 18.8 million tonnes of finished steel in H1. Long products output declined -8% y-o-y to 12.5mt, while flats production grew 21.2% to 6.3mt, the association details in a statement seen by Kallanish.
